A Message from our President

Irene Savicky

I'm sure we all are excited that spring is here! I know that I am looking forward to seeing the humming birds, flowers blooming, and enjoying the beautiful weather.

Our May 11th Luncheon will be at Terrigno's Fairfield Inn, 153 Bridgeton-Fairton Road, Bridgeton, NJ. We are only able to accommodate 60 members… so please, it will be on a first come, first serve basis.

Connie Cossaboom and I have been working hard to set our next year's luncheons. We are moving our CCREA Luncheon location and the dates as follows: Our new home for our luncheons for 2022-2023 will be the New Jersey Motorsports Park, 8000 Dividing Creek Rd., Millville, NJ. The luncheons will be held on the 1st Wednesday of October, December, March, & May. We, the CCREA Executive Committee, have heard your concerns and hopefully you will like our new home for 2022-2023

Some of you have called me regarding Medicare Income Related Monthly Amount Adjustment (IRMAA) Reimbursements. On March 17, 2022, the Division of Pension & Benefits posted the following information:

"Letters have been mailed for plan year 2021 income related (IRMAA) Medicare reimbursements. Eligible retirees should watch for their letter to arrive from mynjbenefitshub and follow the revised procedures to return the required documentation and forms to mynjbenefitshubfor reimbursement. The deadline for document submittal has been extended to May 1,2022. Retirees should not send documents to the NJDPB; however, any documents that have already been received will be forwarded to mynjbenefitshub for processing."

If you should have any questions, please don't hesitate to call me.

Coming soon, we will be needing your assistance with the upcoming elections. I hope you will help us, as we definitely will need it. So enjoy your Spring and Summer… we will need you in September!

As my first year as your president comes to an end, I want to thank my Executive Committee and all of you, the Members, for all your support!

Thank you!
Irene Savicky

Looking to Work after Retirement

To be eligible to receive a New Jersey-administered pension, you must completely stop working for any public employer in the state before you can go back to work in the New Jersey public sector. This means you must completely end the employment relationship with your previous employer, with no arrangements to return in any capacity.
